The following requirements outline a typical server setup for enabling SimpleScripts functionality within your hosting environment. Usage on alternate systems has not been tested, but if you find out otherwise, please drop us a line.Hosts Tested by Clients

Note: Items in grey are not required for SimpleScripts to run, but many scripts require them for operation.
For CPanel Systems
We highly recommend a SuExec environment, where Apache runs under the same user/group permissions as the account owner. This is not only more secure than running as a 'nobody' or 'www' user, but also enables the automatic database creation and cron job abilities of SimpleScripts.
For Plesk Systems
At this time, SimpleScripts only accepts one set of username/password information. This must be either the Client or Admin level authentication, and an FTP account must exist with the same username and password to enable the automatic database creation abilities of SimpleScripts. Domain-only clients do not have permissions to create databases under normal circumstances.
For Anything Else
SimpleScripts has been tested to work on many different architectures, and official support for alternate webservers such as LiteSpeed and operating systems such as FreeBSD is coming soon. As long as you don't mind filling in the manual database information for an install, SimpleScripts should work for you. SimpleScripts is also happy to work with webhosts using alternate or custom control panel software to enable the automatic database configuration abilities.
Script Requirements
Keep in mind, each script has it's very own list of requirements. As long as your server software is within the latest few versions, you should be ready to install 95% of the scripts we offer.
